Your safari experience

Walking safari with an armed ranger

Leave the vehicle and explore on foot β€” tracks, plants and wildlife up close.

Explore what moves you

Experience it your way.

On foot the bush feels completely different. An armed park ranger and your guide lead a two- to three-hour walk, reading tracks and droppings, explaining plants and birds, and approaching animals such as giraffe, zebra and buffalo at a safe distance.

Walks are possible in Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara, parts of Tarangire, the Ngorongoro highlands and the southern parks. They are best early in the morning, when it's cooler.
