Maasai village visit
Spend time with a Maasai family near Ngorongoro and learn how they live with their cattle.
Experience it your way.
On the way to or from the Ngorongoro Crater, we stop at a Maasai boma (homestead) arranged with the community. You're welcomed with songs and dances, shown inside a traditional house built from mud, cattle dung and branches, and hear about cattle, family life and how traditions are changing.
Most visits last an hour or two. The entrance fee goes to the village, and there is usually a chance to buy beadwork made by the women. Please ask before taking photos of people.
